Quality rating auditor approves certification for precision Davenport and Swiss CNC shop
SOUTH EUCLID, Ohio—Gent Machine Company, a producer of screw machine parts, is now approved to manufacture high-quality precision parts for the automotive industry. The South Euclid, Ohio-based contract manufacturer announced in March that it received ISO 9001:2008 and ISO/TS 16949:2009 certifications following a three-day audit by SRI Quality System Registrar.
In business for over 80 years, Gent Machine describes itself as a “quality-focused producer of screw machine parts” that emphasizes customer service. The company specializes in using Davenport and Swiss CNC machines to manufacture parts up to 7/8-inch diameter, and reportedly produces precision parts in volumes ranging from 1000 to 20,000,000, “in any shape, material, or tolerance.” Samples of screw machine parts that the company has produced for the automotive industry include a steel diesel fuel pump; a steel seat for a diesel fuel valve; and a steel ring airbag assembly.
Gent Machine (www.gentmachine.com) also makes screw machine parts for law enforcement, HVAC, marine, hydraulic pump, and industrial lock pin applications, among others.
