GARLAND, Tex.—VPET, a California-based manufacturer of food-quality plastic containers, recently purchased a 167,500-square-foot plant in Garland, Texas, where it invested $16 million and will create 50 jobs, according to a report from the Dallas Morning News’s Steve Brown. VPET announced the development project in 2015.
“The new facility will be modeled after VPET’s state-of-the-art flagship facility and headquarters in Southern California. The new facility will include complete production lines for the company’s specialized two-stage PET manufacturing process. This process relies on a large library of pre-forms in a wide variety of neck sizes, allowing VPET to quickly turn any product from concept to delivery,” VPET said in its news release.
