SOMERSET, Pa.—Augustine Die & Mold, Inc. (ADM) has achieved AS9100 Rev. D certification for its Somerset, Pennsylvania manufacturing plant. AS9100 Rev. D is the most recent quality management system (QMS) standard for the aviation, space, and defense industry. AS9100 is based on the ISO 9001 quality management system and supported by the International Aerospace Quality Group.
Augustine Die & Mold (www.amoldinc.com) offers precision machining, specializing in aerospace and defense applications, in addition to design, manufacturing, and repair of tooling in the plastics industry. The company achieved AS9100 Rev. D certification after an extensive analysis of its quality systems by BSI Group America, and is reported to be one of the region’s first companies to obtain the certification.
“ADM’s certification is a significant accomplishment and they are to be recognized for their efforts to instill quality throughout the production process and the organization as a whole,” stated Todd VanderVen, president of BSI Group America, in a press release.
According to ADM’s founder and chairman, Tony Augustine, AS9100 Rev. D is a crucial achievement for the company’s future. “It not only demonstrates our commitment to quality, but also a commitment to our clients in the aerospace and defense markets,” he said in a statement.

Augustine Die & Mold, Inc. was established in 1995 by Anthony (Tony) Augustine. The company started out as a machine shop focused on mold design, mold manufacturing, and mold repair. Today, ADM has grown into a complex and integrated precision machining facility. The company also offers waterjet cutting, along with CNC machining and EDM services.
As the demand for plastics and related services grew, Augustine founded Augustine Plastics, Inc. (API), which offers injection molding, manufacturing, and assembly services.
