SAN JOSE, Calif.—Cepton Technologies, Inc., a provider of 3D LiDAR technology for automotive, industrial, and mapping applications, recently announced the hiring of Neil Huntingdon as vice president of business development. Huntingdon will be responsible for Cepton’s business development and customer growth globally. Most recently, he was vice president EMEIA at Quanergy.
“With the addition of Neil and also Jerone this past month, it’s becoming increasingly clear that the market’s most seasoned LiDAR executives are witnessing the power of Cepton and our high-performance Micro-Motion Technology (MMT™) LiDAR,” said Jun Pei, CEO and co-founder of Cepton Technologies, in a press release. “We have spent the past few years working tirelessly on our sensors, ensuring that they deliver on the industry’s needs. I’m proud to say that by appointing Neil to our leadership team, 2019 will be a pivotal year for Cepton as our presence grows and our product leadership shines around the world.”
Huntingdon has a lengthy career in innovative and disruptive technology business development across the image processing, industrial, IoT, and embedded markets. Most recently at Quanergy, he managed all business development in the extended EMEIA market. Prior to that, he held senior sales positions at Apical (ARM), MCCI, and Transdimension (Oxford Semi). Huntingdon began his career as the European sales director for GSI Technology and Alliance Semiconductor.
