SUSSEX, Wis.—PIC Wire & Cable®, a division of The Angelus Corporation, received a 2019 Military & Aerospace Technology Innovator Award in recognition of its new MACHFORCE connector’s unique design and contribution to solving high-speed data interconnect challenges.

MACHFORCE is a D38999 style high-speed 10G data connector designed for rugged aerospace and defense applications. Its patented design is reported to offer the market’s highest density 10G Ethernet connector with several key features, including ten 10G Ethernet ports to maximize data density and optimize space, and reliable electrical performance with multiple disconnects.

An anti-decoupling ring allows for easy connection and disconnection with a gloved hand. The connector also offers easy termination and is field repairable with quick access to terminated wires and standard 22D pins, sockets, and tools, the company said in a release.

PIC Wire & Cable designs specialty, high performance interconnect components. The company, which  recently expanded its product offerings with a new line of advanced data connectors, released the new MACHFORCE connector product line in October at the Association of the United States Army (AUSA) 2019 Annual Meeting in Washington, D.C.

At AUSA, PIC Wire & Cable demonstrated Crystal Group’s RCS7750-48CM rugged networking switch that incorporates five MACHFORCE connectors to yield 48 10G Ethernet ports. “We look forward to solving our customers’ unique interconnect challenges with a product consciously designed to enhance density, speed and reliability,” said John Lytle, global sales and marketing director for PIC Wire & Cable.

The Angelus Corporation (www.TheAngelusCorp.com) is a global product and services provider for the aerospace and defense industry. Its divisions include PIC Wire & Cable, a specialist in aircraft cable, connectors, and cable assemblies for more than 45 years, and CertifyNation, which offers engineering, certification, and kitting to the commercial aviation industry.
