AVON, Mass.—Wrobel Engineering, a precision metal fabrication company located in Avon, Massachusetts, recently received ISO 13485:2016 certification from TUV SUD America, the company said in a press release.
ISO 13485:2016 is the internationally recognized standard of quality for organizations involved in the manufacturing of medical devices. By achieving the certification, Wrobel Engineering joins a select group of elite precision metal fabricators for OEMs and CMs in the medical industry. Besides the medical industry, Wrobel provides metal fabrication services to customers in the defense, aerospace, telecommunications, marine, data storage, and specialty commercial industries.
The company said that in response to strong growth in its medical and defense segments, it significantly increased its capacities and efficiencies in 2019 by making facility investments in robotics, machine vision, and quality control systems. According to Wrobel, its expanded capabilities and ISO 13485 certification firmly position the firm as a preferred partner to leading OEMs in the medical and defense industries.
“Since our founding in 1976, quality has been our guiding principal,” said Ed Wrobel, the company’s vice president of operations, in the release. “Our staff is composed of the most experienced engineers, machinists, and craftspeople in the industry. Our facility and technologies are consistently maintained at the leading edge. Our focus on quality—in everything we do—has driven more than 40 years of continuous growth for our company.”
