ROCHESTER HILLS, Mich.—Greater ease of use, reliability, and safety are benefits of the new CRX-10iA and CRX-10iA/L (long arm version) collaborative robots from FANUC, the company said in a press release. The 10kg payload CRX-10iA and CRX-10iA/L provide a reach of 1,249mm and 1,418mm, respectively, and are designed with sensitive contact detection that allows them to work safely alongside people in a variety of industrial and manufacturing jobs.
FANUC, a supplier of factory automation, robotics, and high-speed, high-precision machining centers, offers a range of collaborative robots that can handle products from 4kg to 35kg. The company introduced the CRX-10iA and CRX-10iA/L robots at the 2019 International Robot Exhibition last December in Tokyo.
Other unique advantages are said to include easy installation and programming, ergonomic design, and easy connection to third-party grippers. Customers – even those with no experience using a robot – can set up the robots straight out of the box, the company said.
An ergonomic design includes a lightweight and compact arm that fits in virtually any floor space configuration. The robots also offer a compact R-30iB Plus Mini Controller, lead-though teach programming, and a new tablet interface with icons for touch control, requiring no programming knowledge. .
The CRX-10iA/L arm’s swing motion is said to make it easy to access and grab parts located behind the robot, which easily connects with third-party grippers. The two new models also support FANUC’s intelligent features, such as integrated iRVision® and iRPickTool software, the company said.
