ALPHA, N.J., and COLUMBIA, S.C. — Power Pool Plus, Inc., a manufacturer of industrial power generators for refrigerated cargo, reported it will move “all major manufacturing and fabrication of its industrial power generation products” to a new 30,000-square-foot facility in Greenwood County, South Carolina. The investment of more than $1 million is projected to create 21 jobs at the new facility, the company said in a release on its website.

Power Pool Plus also provides contract steel fabrication and, in addition to manufacturing industrial power generators, provides generator services.  Its power generation equipment and services support commercial and industrial applications in the refrigerated transportation, construction, and health care sectors, according to a release from the South Carolina Department of Commerce.

“Our choice of Greenwood County, S.C., for the location of our new manufacturing headquarters did not happen by chance,” said Power Pool Plus President Doug Hulse, in a statement. “With the community being the essential element of any company culture, we believe that the values, ideals, and work ethic of the people of Greenwood County align perfectly with those that we’ve set for Power Pool Plus over these past 30 years.”

The new facility will enable Power Pool Plus to increase capacity and meet growing demand for industrial power generation equipment manufacturing, contract steel fabrication, and commercial and critical care generator services.

“In South Carolina, we know how to make things,” said South Carolina Secretary of Commerce Bobby Hitt, in a statement. “Power Pool Plus, Inc.’s decision to establish its new facility here generates even more momentum for our state’s manufacturing sector, growing and producing more jobs for South Carolinians.”

Power Pool Plus’s plans for the next few months include outfitting the building for manufacturing, installing equipment and infrastructure, and creating reception and office spaces that reflect its commitment to professionalism. The company will also be interviewing prospective local candidates to fill positions for general welders and fabricators, general assemblers, diesel mechanics, road technicians, bookkeeping/administrative assistant, and outside sales representative. Its goal is to have the new facility online by early in the fourth quarter of 2020, the company said on its website.
