LIVERMORE, Calif.— IMG Companies, LLC acquired and announced the recapitalization of Larkin Precision Machining, Inc., a provider of precision custom machined parts for the defense, aerospace and medical device sectors. IMG (www.imgprecision.com) is a vertically integrated, high-technology manufacturing business that services customers within the aerospace and defense, semi-tool, medical device, and security sectors.

Larkin Precision Machining (https://www.lpmachining.com/) is based in Scotts Valley, California. The company provides design, engineering, and manufacturing services for complex, close-tolerance components, with capabilities from prototype to scale production.
IMG’s key areas of competence include fabrication and machining of critical components with a broad range of materials, geometries, and size requirements. They also include bonding of similar and dissimilar material through electron beam, laser, and TIG/MIG welding; vacuum and hydrogen brazing; and engineering support in metallurgical science, design for manufacturability, and sensitive mechanical processes.
