TREVOR, Wis.—Vonco Products LLC, a contract manufacturer of liquid-tight medical fluid bags and components for custom medical device applications, has acquired McFarlane Medical, Inc., Vonco announced recently. McFarlane, based in Geneva, Illinois, is a contract manufacturer of Class I and Class II medical devices that provides specialized assembly and packaging solutions to world-leading organizations, Vonco said in a release.
“Many of our customers have expressed support for Vonco’s two-fold mission to create more value whilst reducing risk,” said Keith Smith, president and CEO of Vonco Products, in the release. “We appreciate their confidence in us and, with this acquisition, we’re able to broaden our contract manufacturing offerings—both for our medical device and consumer products customers.”
According to Vonco, McFarlane has a long history of creating value and reducing risk by providing clients with turnkey product outsourcing: programming, assembly, clean room, sterilization, and distribution. Now that McFarlane is a member of the Vonco family, clients can expect “the same great support and service they would expect from a world-class contract manufacturer, with the added benefit of increased capabilities, expanded offerings, and access to the brightest minds in the industry,” the release said.
