Lustre-Cal Corp. (www.lustrecal.com) is a printer, finisher and graphic art manufacturer of labels, property IDs, name plates, compliance labels, panel overlays, membrane switches, domed labels and shielding.

In addition to its capabilities in printing, finishing and graphic design, Lustre-Cal is a woman owned HUB business, an SBA-recognized small business, and it is ISO 9001:2008 certified for quality located in Lodi, California.

“Your success is everything. Lustre-Cal is committed to ensuring the success of every project. That’s why we provide extensive engineering support, including white papers and bulletins. And to make things even easier, we’ve built a knowledge base of information to help you find solutions to common challenges,” the company website said.

The turnaround time on an order placed with Lustre-Cal is typically two or three days, depending on how complex the part is. “A simple property ID label may take a day or two, while a membrane switch will take longer depending on the intricacies,” the website said. An order can be expedited for a fee, and there are no minimum-sized orders.

Lustre-Cal was listed as an essential business during the Covid 19 pandemic, and it was able to avoid shutdowns or supply slowdowns during 2020. It remains fully staffed.

Lustre-Cal offers prototyping assistance including how to best manufacture the part. “We work with each customer to identify the most cost-effective way to produce their desired prototype.”

Lustre-Cal’s preferred applications for customer art submission includes Macromedia Freehand, Adobe Illustrator, CorelDraw, or Adobe Photoshop. It also accepts Adobe Pagemaker and Quark Express. CAD files are used for dimensional and layout purposes. CAD files need to be received in the DXF format, the website said. It accepts artwork via email at art@lustrecal.com, also on 3.5-inch floppies, ZIP files or CDs. If a customer wants to provide an idea on a thumb-nail sketch, Lustre-Cal’s response is, “we have a full-service Graphics Department, so do not hesitate to send a drawing, sketch or sample and we can assist you with your design requirements.”
