WASHINGTON—The company formerly known as Dixie Sheet Metal Works is now doing business as DS Metal Works, the company said in a release. DS Metal Works is a metal fabricating company that specializes in architectural metal, mechanical, and sheet metal applications.

The name change coincides with a rebranding effort and relaunch of the firm’s website. Both occurred at a time when DS Metal Works’ owners say they are “seeing a tremendous amount of demand” for the company’s architectural and decorative metal design services.

DS Metal Works (https://dixiesheetmetalworks.com) provides design, metal fabrication, and installation services for residential and commercial projects in the Washington, D.C., Maryland, and Virginia (DMV) region. The company has been in business for more than 75 years. “Our master metal fabricators and design specialists take pride in the work we do,” the company said in the release.

DS Metal Works offers a fully functional welding shop and design center at its Falls Church, Virginia headquarters. It can add value to bulk orders by coupling plasma, laser, and waterjet operations.  The company also offers a wide set of metals—such as steel, stainless steel, aluminum, copper, and brass—that are available from its distributor. “We can source a vast line of special metals and accessories if needed,” the company said in the release.
