The company is increasing manufacturing capacity with a 36,500-square-foot expansion and  new career opportunities.

TREVOR, Wis.—Medical contract manufacturer Vonco Products LLC recently broke ground on a planned 36,500-square-foot facility expansion that will accommodate new investments in capital equipment and the hiring of additional skilled workers, the company said in a release.

Vonco, a contract manufacturer of liquid-tight medical fluid devices and bags, as well as personal protection equipment (PPE), attributed the expansion to two intersecting developments. One is the rising demand for healthcare and medical devices, stemming from the COVID-19 pandemic and an aging population. The other is the supply chain challenges that are threatening companies’ ability to deliver medical device parts and packaging.

“Our customers rely on us, more so now than ever, to help them meet increased consumer demand, accelerate innovation, and shift their supply chain strategy back to the United States,” said Keith Smith, CEO of Vonco Products, in the release. “This expansion enables us to deliver by investing in new capital equipment and creating high-quality jobs for skilled workers. I’m excited to see where the future leads.”

Vonco is currently hiring personnel to support operations, including 10 immediate new hires and another 20 before construction is complete. Interested applicants can apply at www.vonco.com. The company said that in addition to the 36,500-square-foot expansion, it has the capacity for to add an additional 60,000 square feet as needed.

“In this time of uncertainty, Vonco is dramatically reducing the risk to brand owners by offering risk-free, turnkey med device contract manufacturing services and consumer health and hygiene spouted stand up pouches,” said Kyle Vlasak, healthcare general manager at Vonco, in the release. “This additional capacity and capability fortify what is already a state-of-the-art facility.”

Vonco is an FDA registered facility with Class II medical device capability, and is ISO 13485:2016 certified. Click here for a video showing the planned expansion.
