STAFFORD, Texas— Luminaire manufacturer Spring Lighting Group® (SLG) recently began construction of an 80,000-square-foot manufacturing center that will enable SLG to alleviate potential supply chain challenges by manufacturing its growing line of durable luminaires in the United States, the company said in a release.

Spring Lighting Group is investing $14 million in the facility, currently being built near SLG’s American headquarters in the Houston metro area. The facility is expected to create more than 100 jobs to support SLG’s domestic production capabilities, the company said in a release.

An OEM with more than 25 years of manufacturing experience, SLG said it can redesign and launch new items on a monthly basis. And by establishing manufacturing roots on American soil, SLG can reduce customer lead times by 80 percent, according to the release.

“SLG is bringing true manufacturing to America in a positive response to tariffs,” said SLG Director of Sales Rob Cirello, in the release. “By doing so, we can offer incredible turnaround on products with variations of color temperature, housing, finish, and custom tuning of the lumen package.”

The company is also pursuing other expansion projects, including a 125,000-square-foot U.S. warehouse that is nearly complete. Reported to be fully stocked with inventory, the new warehouse will enable customers to benefit from prompt fulfillment of orders on new and existing products, which SLG called “a rarity in a global environment of inventory shortfalls.”

“By investing in a way to better serve our customers, this U.S. manufacturing expansion is an important part of our plan to triple our revenue over the next five years,” said SLG Chief Executive Officer Michael Wu, in the release.

According to SLG, it produces luminaires using “only the highest quality components.”

“Precision engineering and extensive testing show SLG products will stand the test of time and provide customers with lighting solutions they can trust for years to come,” the company said in the release.
