New steel fabrication center features robotic and manual welding stations

FAYETTE, Ala.—O’Neal Manufacturing Services (OMS), a supplier of fabricated metal components and welded assemblies, has opened a 130,000-square-foot custom steel fabrication center in West Alabama. O’Neal plans to invest more than $4 million in capital expenditures for the facility and bring 80 jobs to the City of Fayette, the company said in a release.
O’Neal Manufacturing Services provides ISO 9001:2015 certified quality production and manufacturing redundancy for OEMs engaged in heavy equipment industries, such as truck and trailer, agricultural equipment, material handling, and more. The addition of the Fayette, Alabama fabrication facility brings the company’s total North American locations to nine, including its corporate headquarters in Birmingham, Alabama.
The Fayette plant features robotic and manual welding stations, a beam-cutting line, wet paint booth, press brakes, laser cutting, and saw cutting capabilities to support medium-to-heavy gauge steel fabrication.
O’Neal Manufacturing Services, founded in 1921, is an O’Neal Industries affiliate company that offers contract metal fabrication services to support global OEMs in North America. The company serves customers that build equipment and manage projects ranging from locomotives to forklifts, bulldozers, and power generation equipment. O’Neal’s manufacturing services include steel fabrication, tube processing, plasma and laser cutting, metal forming, welding, and machining, the company said.
