According to Re:Build Manufacturing, every aspect of the equipment’s development—from inception to final assembly—takes place domestically.

FRAMINGHAM, Mass.—Re:Build Manufacturing recently introduced what it described as “state-of-the-art, U.S.-made” equipment to support rising market demand for photovoltaics (PV). The equipment—the RBM600 Solar CZ Puller—is designed for the manufacture of high-purity ingots used in the photovoltaic solar materials industry, the company said in a release.

The RBM600 is said to reflect Re:Build’s dedication to delivering products that are designed and built in the U.S. and meet the highest standards of safety and performance. “Every aspect of the RBM600’s development—from its inception, design, and fabrication to its final assembly—takes place domestically,” Re:Build said in the release.

According to Re:Build, its engineering and design team identified safety as the first issue to be addressed at the onset of the development of the RBM600. The new system is designed to meet or exceed the most stringent U.S. safety standards and provide a secure and reliable environment for crystal growth operations. With built-in safety features and comprehensive real-time risk assessment, users can carry out crystal growth processes with confidence that personnel and the equipment are protected, the company said.

The RBM600 is reported to offer integrated advanced process monitoring and data insights capabilities that maximize output and minimize downtime. Real-time insights into the crystal growth process enable operators to push the boundaries of solar crystal growth efficiency with optimized performance, enhanced yields, and informed decisions, according to Re:Build.

“The team behind RBM600 has some of the most experienced engineers with years of applied knowledge in developing sophisticated equipment solutions for multiple crystal growth technologies,” said Miles Arnone, CEO of Re:Build Manufacturing, in the release. “And [it] is reinforced with the depth of our Re:Build Digital group, which helps integrate advanced software and intelligence into the system architecture. Our hardware and process expertise, combined with our unique software and digital tools, put the RBM600 at the forefront of crystal growth technology.”

Re:Build Manufacturing describes itself in the release as “a leader in the design and production of custom automation and industrial products, advanced materials, and technology solutions.” The company said it is dedicated to building a better future for its employees, customers, partners, communities, and shareholders through a new model of industrialization. Re:Build is focused on “revitalizing America’s manufacturing base and creating meaningful, sustainable jobs in areas that have been deindustrialized,” the release said.

“The team’s dedication to innovation and their deep understanding of robust, industrial process development are evident in every aspect of the RBM600’s design and functionality,” added Arnone. “We are proud to play a role in the future of photovoltaic manufacturing in the U.S. and to create more jobs in a high-growth, high-tech industry.”
