A parts manufacturer is partnering with CADDi to streamline data access and reduce operational downtime across its manufacturing facilities.
CHICAGO—CADDi, the developer of an AI-powered data platform that reportedly makes design and supply chain data “accessible and actionable for all teams,” is partnering with automotive parts manufacturer OTICS USA, Inc., a company that faces industry-specific challenges related to data retrieval and knowledge retention.
CADDi’s flagship product, CADDi Drawer, is said to help manufacturers improve their efficiency and quality by using advanced AI to centralize and analyze essential production data. Through the collaboration, OTICS USA will integrate CADDi Drawer to streamline data access, enhance knowledge sharing, and reduce operational downtime across its Tennessee-based facilities in Morristown and Kodak, CADDi said in a release.
CADDi Drawer’s advanced features are expected to provide solutions for these issues, linking drawings across tools and machines and embedding valuable process knowledge into digital documents. By leveraging CADDi Drawer, OTICS USA aims to reduce time spent on low-value tasks and minimize machine downtime. It is also working to ensure that experience and expertise are passed on to newer team members efficiently.
“Integrating CADDi Drawer into our workflow marks a significant advancement in our efficiency,” said Satoshi Yamamoto, process engineering coordinator at OTICS USA, in the release. “The platform enables precise, streamlined access to our tooling data, reducing search times and enhancing product parts accuracy. This partnership is a natural extension of our commitment to continuous improvement, ensuring our team has the resources needed to uphold the high standards our customers expect.”
“CADDi is proud to support OTICS USA as they elevate their operational processes,” said CADDi Director of Customer Success Brian Thacker, in the release. “Our technology empowers their team to access critical data with ease, bridge knowledge gaps, and focus on high-impact work—driving both immediate and long-term value.”
OTICS USA was founded in 2001 as the first U.S. subsidiary of Japan’s OTICS Corporation. The company has built a reputation for quality and innovation, supplying critical components, such as balance shafts, camshaft caps, fuel delivery pipes, and balance shaft housings, to major automotive manufacturers. With multiple expansions and a recent Toyota Superior Quality Performance Award, OTICS USA is continuing “to solidify its role as a reliable partner in the automotive supply chain,” the release stated.
With CADDi Drawer, OTICS USA is positioning itself to continue its legacy of quality and innovation, while enhancing competitiveness in the fast-evolving automotive sector.
“The partnership underscores OTICS USA’s commitment to a modernized approach in an industry that thrives on precision and reliability,” the release stated.
