Parsec’s enhancements to its flagship MES include AI-enabled insights and conversational interaction, the company said.
ANAHEIM, Calif.—Parsec Automation, a developer of manufacturing execution systems (MES) software, recently began a strategic collaboration with Microsoft that previews new AI-powered capabilities for manufacturing organizations, according to a release from Parsec.
Integrating with Microsoft’s Azure AI Foundry lays the foundation for Parsec’s AI-enabled offering, TrakSYS IQ™, empowering users to retrieve and analyze factory data through a conversational interface. This early look at TrakSYS IQ is said to provide a “glimpse into the near AI future for manufacturing—where human-machine collaboration drives productivity and accelerates decision-making.”
“TrakSYS IQ will bring manufacturing leaders closer to the data that drives their organizations,” said Parsec CTO Bill Rokos, in the release. “Customers will be able to interact with TrakSYS using natural language and receive contextualized insights. While this functionality is still evolving, it reflects our ongoing commitment to simplifying complex manufacturing operations and unlocking the full potential of data through AI.”
Parsec describes TrakSYS as a “proven operations management software application and solution platform designed to significantly improve manufacturing processes.” The platform is designed to provide actionable intelligence that helps manufacturers reduce production costs, optimize resources, improve quality, and increase profitability.
“From enhancing operational efficiency to ensuring regulatory compliance, TrakSYS transforms data into a strategic advantage, enabling facilities to thrive in the digital era,” the company stated in a release.
According to Parsec, the vision behind TrakSYS IQ is to streamline data access and reporting, reducing friction in how users interact with production intelligence. The integration of TrakSYS data with Microsoft’s platform is said to demonstrate the potential of emerging AI technologies to support more intuitive and efficient factory operations.
Beyond text-based responses, TrakSYS IQ will enable the generation of dynamic visuals, including charts and graphs, to support richer analysis. TrakSYS IQ is anticipated to be available in late 2025, the company said.
“The TrakSYS IQ integration will make a big difference in the day-to-day lives of manufacturers,” said Dayan Rodriguez, CVP, Manufacturing and Mobility, Microsoft, in the release. “Together with Parsec, we are working to help customers transform their businesses, and we’re delivering impactful, human-centered solutions to the market every day.”
Parsec won a Silver Stevie® Award at the 23rd Annual American Business Awards® in June, earning recognition in the Achievement in Technology Innovation category. The award highlights Parsec’s “innovation in the development of manufacturing technology solutions,” as well as “measurable ROI in manufacturing operations management,” according to a company release.
The company’s award submission is said to have highlighted measurable customer outcomes from the use of its TrakSYS MES platform. These outcomes are reported to include a 454 percent three-year ROI, significant productivity gains, and multimillion-dollar savings, alongside various enhancements that had been made to the TrakSYS platform.
“At Parsec, we’re committed to making the management of complex manufacturing operations as simple, effective, and impactful as possible, and this recognition underscores that mission,” said Eddy Azad, founder and CEO of Parsec, in a statement. “We’re honored to be recognized by the American Business Awards because it is a reflection of the innovation and dedication to push our industry forward that drives our team every day.”
