The company added the E-Series to its TUFF product line, expanding its offerings for secure handling of liquids.
AKRON, Ohio—Rotational molder Elkhart Plastics recently introduced a new intermediate bulk container (IBC) series engineered specifically to protect liquids during storage, transport, and dispensing.
Elkhart’s new TUFF E-Series™ expands its line of TUFF Series IBCs and is manufactured at the company’s Middlebury, Indiana, facility. It is described as a “a durable, sustainable, and cost-effective IBC.”
“The TUFF E-Series helps businesses safeguard regulated and non-regulated liquid materials across a range of commercial and industrial operations, from chemical manufacturing to waste management to water treatment,” the company said in a release.
According to Elkhart Plastics, the E-Series is unlike traditional limited-use IBCs that generate excess packaging waste and recurring costs. Instead, it is a reusable alternative that delivers long-term performance. Its tough, impact-resistant, rotomolded base provides protection against rigorous use and reduces replacement costs, the company said in the release.
The E-Series intermediate bulk containers are also said to provide optimized drainage and a superior valve connection. Their sloped-bottom design reportedly yields 99.9 percent drainage, reducing product loss and waste. In addition, the TUFF LinQ® Outlet Valve Connection is said to be 30 percent stronger when tested against a comparable brand. It features an integrated male cam-lock fitting with a dust cap to protect against leaks and downtime, the release stated.
“The new E-Series builds on the proven strengths of our TUFF line and gives customers a smarter way to protect, handle, and store liquid materials,” said Cullen Jones, vice president of sales at Myers Industries, in the release. “It also reflects our commitment to innovation and quality. Reusable, environmentally responsible, and economically viable, the E-Series cuts waste, lowers costs, and delivers long-term value—setting a new standard for IBC performance in liquid handling.”
The E-Series is available for purchase directly from Elkhart or through the company’s dealer network.
