The acquisition expands Peak’s additive manufacturing capabilities for deep tech OEMs

SAN JOSE, Calif.—Peak Technology, a provider of advanced prototyping and manufacturing services for the semiconductor, bio-medical, aerospace, and deep tech industries, recently  acquired Jinxbot 3D Printing, an additive manufacturing company known for its high-mix, rapid-turn prototyping services and creative engineering support, according to a release from Peak Technology.

Headquartered in Silicon Valley, Peak Technology specializes in highly technical plastics and other engineered materials. Jinxbot, based in Mountain View, California, specializes in short-run 3D printing, creative fabrication, and technical consulting. Offering fast turnaround times and inventive problem-solving, Jinxbot has supported startups, artists, engineers, and educators since its founding in 2015.

In the release, Peak Technology described its acquisition of Jinxbot as a strategic move to meet increasing demand for complex, plastic-based components, assemblies, and modules in advanced manufacturing environments.

“By uniting Jinxbot’s rapid prototyping strengths with Peak’s world-class subtractive manufacturing and systems integration capabilities, OEMs will benefit from a fully collaborative, end-to-end product realization partner,” the release stated.

Jinxbot, founded by Jason Reynolds, is said to bring a hands-on inventor’s mindset and a diverse clientele ranging from local artists to Fortune 500 engineers. Jinxbot is reported to have built its reputation in Silicon Valley and beyond as “an agile, customer-focused 3D printing and design lab that thrives on solving unusual and time-sensitive manufacturing challenges.”

“Jinxbot represents the kind of nimble, idea-to-object capability that modern OEMs are increasingly demanding as they develop the next generation of high-performance systems,” said Robert de Neve, chief operating officer and head of corporate venture at Peak Technology, in a statement. “This acquisition completes a key phase in our strategic growth plan, enabling us to offer a more integrated and responsive additive manufacturing solution set for our global customer base.”
