COMMERCE, Calif.—Custom spring and wire form manufacturer Century Spring Corp. reported that it achieved ISO 13485:2016 certification, meeting the globally recognized standard for quality management systems in the medical device industry.
The scope of the ISO 13485:2016 registration is the “manufacture and distribution of custom/made-to-order springs, standard industrial springs, packaged springs, and wire forms,” according to Century Spring’s quality management system certificate.

Century Spring offers in-stock and custom-manufactured products for OEM and MRO applications in low and high volumes. Customers can choose from an inventory of more than 40,000 spring designs or request a quote for a custom solution, the company said.
Types of stock and custom springs offered by Century Spring include a variety of compression springs, 316 stainless steel springs, extension springs, and torsion springs, as well as tapered springs, die springs, disc springs, and spring anchors, according to the company’s website.
In addition to the medical industry, the company provides springs and components to industries such as electronics, aerospace, agriculture, automotive, defense, and industrial automation, among others.
