The acquisition is seen as a key step in building an integrated network of precision manufacturing companies to support the domestic aerospace and defense industry.
CYPRESS, Calif.—U.S.-based precision manufacturing network Threadlock Precision recently acquired J&F Machine, a precision CNC machining company that has supported aerospace, defense, and commercial markets since 1977. The acquisition is reported to mark a key early step in Threadlock Precision’s long-term mission to build an integrated network of high-quality precision manufacturing companies that serve mission-critical industries.
By providing network companies with access to growth capital and the tools to modernize, scale, and strengthen their positions in the aerospace, defense, and industrial markets, Threadlock is seeking to modernize and strengthen the competitiveness of the U.S. manufacturing supply chain.
“J&F Machine nicely illustrates the type of high-quality, customer-focused business we are committed to backing,” said Todd McDonald, CEO of Threadlock Precision, in a company release. “We look forward to honoring the company’s legacy while providing the resources and strategic support to help it scale and thrive in today’s competitive environment.”
J&F Machine is an AS9100D accredited manufacturer. From its beginnings as a small, closely held job shop, the company has grown into an advanced production facility that offers high-tolerance CNC milling, turning, and assemblies. “J&F Machine has long been a trusted supplier of precision components for leading manufacturers in aerospace and defense,” the release stated.
“Joining Threadlock Precision allows us to preserve the legacy of J&F Machine while unlocking new opportunities for our employees and customers,” said J&F Machine President Micheline Varnum, in the release. “Their focus on modernization and growth ensures that we can continue delivering the quality, reliability, and service that our customers have come to expect.”
Threadlock Precision is backed by the D. E. Shaw group.
