SPELAB’s new part is said to keep the differential cool even under the most extreme conditions.

CITY OF INDUSTRY, Calif.—SPELAB, a direct manufacturer of automotive performance parts, responded to market demands for more robust and efficient vehicle components by designing a Differential Cover for the 1986-2023 F250 and F350 Ford models.

The company recently introduced the Differential Cover, saying in a release that it “aimed to design a product that enhances the vehicle’s overall performance.” The SPELAB F250 F350 Differential Cover emphasizes durability and performance, integrating an external heat sink design to increase the surface area for heat dissipation. This is said to keep the differential cool even under the most extreme conditions.

Heat management is further bolstered by the strategic use of billet aluminum alloy, a material known for its superior cooling properties compared to conventional iron, and its impressive longevity, the company said.

Oliver George, partnership manager at SPELAB, highlighted the differential cover’s role in automotive efficiency. “This differential cover’s design improves heat dissipation, optimizes fluid dynamics for enhanced lubrication with an internal diversion groove aligned with gear rotation, and features an innovative observation mirror with a floating ball for clear oil level checks,” George said in the release.

In addition to its cooling efficiency, the differential cover is meticulously crafted to monitor the health of the vehicle’s differential fluid effortlessly. A unique external observation mirror, equipped with a floating ball indicator, remains clear over time, unlike traditional mirrors that are prone to blackening. This ensures that maintenance checks are quick and accurate.

The product’s refined aesthetics are matched with functionality. It is finished with black wrinkle paint, providing a layer of rust resistance and a professional appearance suitable for any vehicle, the company said.

SPELAB has positioned itself as a global provider of high-quality automotive components, with an expansive customer base spanning North America, South America, Asia, the Middle East, and European countries. The company has strategically placed warehouses in Kentucky, California, and New Jersey to guarantee prompt delivery times for all its products, according to the release.

SPELAB provides a comprehensive range of automotive performance parts, including systems for intake, exhaust, engine, and cooling. The company has launched seven differential cover kits to date, designed for different car models and makes. In addition to Ford differential covers, SPELAB has also introduced covers for GMC trucks, Dodge trucks, and Chevrolet vehicles, the company said.
