Pursuit’s acquisition of the aerospace castings business is intended to enhance its ability to deliver of a broad range of components to aerospace and defense customers.

MANCHESTER, Conn.—Pursuit Aerospace, a global manufacturer of complex aircraft engine components, reported that it acquired Aeromet International, a supplier of aluminum and magnesium castings to the global aerospace and defense industries, from Privet Capital.

The acquisition expands Pursuit’s casting capabilities by adding light alloy investment and sand-casting alongside its existing super alloy investment casting offerings, the company said in a release.

Aeromet is said to further enhance Pursuit’s ability to deliver a broad range of components to aerospace and defense customers. These components include castings, closed die and rolled ring forgings, machined components, and fabricated assemblies for aeroengine and other aerospace and defense applications.

According to Pursuit Aerospace, Aeromet is widely recognized for its process and engineering expertise, which enables the company to develop tailored solutions to customer needs.

Pursuit Aerospace a global manufacturer of complex aircraft engine components, was formed by the 2023 merger of Whitcraft Group and Paradigm Precision. The company stated that it is a “scaled and diversified manufacturer of tight tolerance components used in commercial and military aircraft engines,” adding that it “delivers components and MRO services through highly integrated processes and lean production systems.”

Aeromet is an established supplier of light-weight, complex-geometry, cast aluminum and magnesium components for aerospace and defense markets. In addition to its core thin wall and sand casting capabilities, Aeromet is said to offer a “fully-integrated, total service solution” with “advanced part design and engineering capabilities, as well as a full suite of inspection, testing, machining and finishing services.”
