LAKE ZURICH, Ill. Smalley, a prominent provider of high-quality retaining rings and wave springs, was recently awarded General Motors’ Supplier Quality Excellence Award for the 13th consecutive year, the company said in a release.

General Motors’ 2024 Supplier Quality Excellence Award recognizes Smalley’s “exceptional performance and commitment to exceeding GM’s rigorous quality standards.” The achievement was made possible through strong cross-functional collaboration with the GM team throughout the year.

“This continued achievement reflects Smalley’s long-standing commitment to delivering consistent, high-quality components and reinforces its role as a trusted partner in the automotive supply chain,” the release stated.

General Motors’ Executive Director of  Global Supplier Quality and Development said in the release that, despite ongoing challenges and a rapidly evolving landscape, Smalley’s “unwavering commitment to excellence and collaboration has not gone unnoticed.”

“Your efforts in 2024 exemplify the spirit of partnership that drives mutual success, and we are truly grateful for your continued support,” the executive said in the release. “On behalf of the Global Supplier Quality Team, thank you for being a trusted and dedicated partner.”

Smalley Senior Director of Manufacturing and Automation Tim Burnier spoke about the collective effort behind winning the award.

“Receiving this award for the 13th consecutive year is a tremendous honor.
