The acquisition is reported to boost MPT’s micro-electronics platform with broad capabilities.

SALEM, N.H.—Micro-Precision Technologies, Inc. (MPT), a company with expertise in complex micro-electronics, recently announced its acquisition of Stellar Manufacturing, a provider of printed circuit board assemblies (PCBA). The acquisition closed in early October, MPT said in a release.

When MPT partnered with private equity investment firm Great River Capital Partners in mid-2024, add-on acquisitions were considered as one path to drive continued growth for the company.

The combined company delivers a broad portfolio of advanced technology solutions to support next-generation products across the defense, aerospace, medical, and commercial markets.

“This is an important milestone for MPT that expands our technology offerings and positions us for continued growth,” said Martin Stensgaard, CEO of MPT, in a statement. “By combining Stellar’s long-standing expertise in the PCBA market with MPT’s advanced Hybrids/multichip modules (MCM) and Thick Film capabilities, we can provide customers with a wider range of solutions at multiple performance levels and price points.”

“This is an exciting time for Stellar, as we share with MPT a commitment to produce exceptional products with strong customer service,” said David Gecks, former president of Stellar Manufacturing, in the release.

Stellar Manufacturing will continue to provide its products and interface with customers from its Salem, New Hampshire headquarters operation. In the first half of 2026, the company will be “fully integrated into MPT’s AS9100D quality system and become compliant with ITAR and CMMC standards,” the release stated.

Micro-Precision Technologies, Inc. is a MIL-PRF-38534 manufacturer of hybrid integrated circuits, multichip modules, custom semiconductors, and high-quality metallized thick film ceramic substrates. The company’s additional micro-electronics assembly services include die attach/wire bonding, MEMS assembly, and custom semiconductor packaging.

MPT’s thick film capabilities feature multi-layer conductors, ultra-fine line/spacing down to 5 mils (0.005 inch), and via holes that can be filled or plated for electrical connections. The company operates clean areas that are rated Class 100 for precap and Class 10,000 for assembly.

The company stated on its website that it is proud that it manufacturers its products completely in the United States. All components are produced at its facility in Salem, New Hampshire, and all  external processes are subcontracted to local or domestic companies, the company said.
