RICHARDSON, Texas—Continental Electronics Corporation (CEC), an OSI Systems company, recently expanded its U.S. manufacturing footprint with a newly constructed, state-of-the-art facility in Richardson that will enable CEC to “increase its manufacturing and engineering capacity to meet rising domestic and global demand for advanced RF, microwave, and mission critical systems,” the company said in a release.

The new Richardson facility is reported to significantly increase production capacity, enhance operational efficiency, and position CEC for long-term innovation in critical RF systems, high-reliability components, and next-generation technologies. It will serve as a hub for innovation across CEC’s core markets, including national defense, scientific research, communications infrastructure, and critical government programs.

The expansion is also expected to strengthen collaboration between engineering, R&D, and production teams, and support regional workforce growth by creating demand for high-skill, high-tech jobs, the release stated.

“This move represents CEC’s commitment to excellence on two fronts: a commitment to meet the vital demands of our customers, ensuring we remain their trusted supplier of choice; and a commitment to provide our people with an industry-leading facility that will elevate our tenured staff, as well as attract the next generation of talent,” said Josh Fults, vice president of operations  for CEC, in a statement.

The investment is said to mark a major milestone in CEC’s continued growth and its long-standing commitment to advanced manufacturing excellence across North Texas. The company describes itself as “a global leader in mission-critical radio frequency (RF) and microwave technologies.” Continental Electronics Corporation has operated from Dallas-area locations for more than 79 years while supporting federal, defense, scientific, and commercial customers worldwide, CEC  said in the release.

Continental Electronics Corporation began a phased transition into the new facility in October  2025 and expects full operations to be underway in 2026.
